CAFFEINE EXTRACT
Caffeine extract, when applied topically, constricts the blood vessels and helps reduce inflammation and puffiness. It also tightens and brightens the skin, reducing wrinkles and visibly smoothing skin texture.
COQ10 (Ubiquinone):
A substance naturally found in our skin that decreases drastically with age. Studies have shown that replenishing our skin with CoQ10 may help decrease signs of aging, increase firmness, increase cellular activity and prevent sun damage.
RETINYL PALMITATE
A gentler version of retinol, retinyl palmitate helps tackle a long list of skincare issues such as fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, rough texture and dark spots. Regular use of this superstar ingredient helps to naturally boost collagen production and keep your skin firm and smooth.
*Note: I wanted to create an eye cream that was highly effective yet gentle enough for sensitive skin. The concentration of retinyl palmitate contained in this formula is minimal, but please use sparingly at first, especially if you've never used retinol products. HYDROLYZED SILK PROTEIN
(aka silk peptides/silk amino acids)
A fibrous protein with a molecular structure similar to collagen. It's been shown to increase elasticity, tighten skin and prevent wrinkles. It's a common ingredient in oriental skincare, and is currently one of the most sought-after ingredients in the skincare industry.
ASCORBYL PALMITATE (Vitamin C Ester)
If you consistently use our Brightening Vitamin C Serum, you've already experienced the benefits of this form of vitamin C. Known for its antioxidant and skin-brightening effects, it helps to fade hyperpigmentation, even out skin tone, and protect against free radicals caused by sun exposure and other environmental toxins. Due to it's esterified form, this version of vitamin C is able to penetrate more deeply, and is more shelf-stable than the L-ascorbic acid found in many skincare products.
